O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
E minha cabeza puxose a abalar
O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Levouse toda minha ilusion
Levouse os cartos, levouse a mulher
Deixo tormenta, nada de comer
O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Mirome a os olhos, e a meiga falo
Cuando a cabeza fode
Hasta ya reventar
Cuando a cabeza fode
O bixo vai pegar

O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
E minha cabeza puxose a abalar
O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Levouse toda minha ilusion
Levouse os cartos, levouse a mulher
Deixo tormenta, nada de comer
Bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Mirome a os olhos, e a meiga falo

Cuando a cabeza fode
Hasta ya reventar
Cuando a cabeza fode
O bixo vai pegar

Bixo do coco mandome matar
Bixo do coco mandome a cadea
Bixo do coco quito libertad
Bixo do coco deixome aquelado
Bixo do coco, bixo do coco

O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
E minha cabeza puxose a abalar
O bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Levouse toda minha ilusion
Levouse os cartos, levouse a mulher
Deixo tormenta, nada de comer
Bixo do coco entro en minha casa
Mirome a os olhos, e a meiga falo

Beeeep! Close. It's 'gallego', from the north west. It has some similarities with Portuguese. Manu's father is from there.

Does anyone here have, or can anyone create a translation of this in English? I'd love to know what I'm singing!

I don't speak Galego (although everyone calls me "Galego", but that's a different story), but it's close enough to Portuguese. (And I'm not sure that this is Galego - I think it's more likely a mixture of French, Spanish, and Portuguese.) Mr. Chao further complicates things by peppering his lyrics with regional slang terms. The lyrics are, more or less:

The coconut bug entered my house And my head started to shake The coconut bug entered my house And took with it all my illusions Took with it all the "cartos", took with it my wife It left torment, nothing to eat The coconut bug entered my house Looked me in the eyes, and the gentle one spoke When the head gets fucked up Until it's already exploding When the head gets fucked up The bug comes and gets it

The coconut bug entered my house And my head started to shake The coconut bug entered my house And took with it all my illusions Took with it all the "cartos", took with it my wife It left torment, nothing to eat The coconut bug entered my house Looked me in the eyes, and the gentle one spoke

When the head gets fucked up Until it's already exploding When the head gets fucked up The bug comes and gets it

Coconut bug sent me to kill Coconut bug sent me to prison Coconut bug cancelled/compromised liberty Coconute bug left "maquelado"

The coconut bug entered my house And took with it all my illusions Took with it all the "cartos", took with it my wife It left torment, nothing to eat The coconut bug entered my house Looked me in the eyes, and the gentle one spoke

I read somewhere that Bixo de coco also means The Sandman. Have no idea, but it makes sense in context

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
