Vegetarian
Vegetarian
Vegetarian

I, I don't want tofu
I'd rather have a mouthful of beef stew
I don't wanna be a vegetarian
Why eat beans when you can have steak instead?

I don't feel bad about
Eating something that's dead
Why should I be sad
For cows getting hit in the head?

So I like eating fish
Tell me what's wrong with this
How can you blame me
For eating chicken of the sea?

Vegetarian

Don't waste your breath yelling at me
About animal rights
And how they should be free
'Coz it's survival of the fittest
And we're winning

I don't feel bad about
Eating something that's dead
So why should I be sad
For chickens being force fed

So I like eating fish
Tell me what's wrong with this
How can you blame me
For eating chicken of the sea?

Vegetarian
Go fry an egg

It's pretty funny because Fat Mike is now a vegetarian, as are other band members. You'd definately call him a "peace punk" too. He grew up, became a little more socially conscious. That's a good thing.

I'm gald they're vegetarians now, 'cause this song really makes me mad. I'm a vegan and I love animals and hate ignorant assholes, who think like this. but if they don't think that anymore then it's all right... everybody makes mistakes.

Wasn't this song written when like NOFX was still pretty underground and it became like trendy to be veggie in underground punk scene even outside the hardcore and the anarcho scene, eeeh, maybe it still is... but it's rather a reaction against people in the punkscene and at the time like forcing people to be exactly like than to vegetarians.

i was so pissed off when i heard this song (im a vegetarian) cuz i love nofx so it was dissappointing to me, but then i remembered in a more recent song, Franco-Unamerican, they say "I never thought about the universe, it made me feel small, never thought about the problems of this planet at all, global warming, radioactive sites, imperialistic wrongs and ANIMAL RIGHTS." they've changed since they said "dont waste your breath yelling at me about animal rights" haha

I'm a vegetarian because I hate meat (the taste and texture and shit) not because I really care about animals dying, even though I don't agree with treating any living thing like total shit. But that's not why I follow the lifestyle I do. Vegetarianism is healthier as well partially because you avoid all the hormones pumped into the fucking animals.

The only reason I don't like this song is because it seems ignorant to me to assume everyone has the same reason for doing something. They just assume that vegetarians would otherwise like meat and are animal rights activists. Not always the case.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
