but, i think this song is about a guy who was in love, but had his heart broken.
"high, high as the sky" referring to how happy he was with her
"low, low as it goes" referring to his sadness when she breaks up w/ him.
again the "..you're gonna make me cry." points to this.
also, i think he becomes angry with her for doing this to him.
