Even though these lyrics are depressing and leave me feelin' kind of hopeless, this song is epic and beautiful in every way. The live version that I've been watching on YouTube made me cry like a baby the first few times that I watched it. Jeez. It kind of sucks to realize that we're all just meat scratching for the same material goals.......only to suffer the same pitiful fate...death. No wonder peeps believe in God. What else have we got to keep us sane? That makes it extra tough to not have any beliefs or faith. This song is definitely a wake-up call, whether you think it's positive or negative. Maybe I would rather "stay asleep" 'cause ignorance is bliss. We're all gonna' rot with nothing to show for it.
