i relate so much, and i love the "i know you never mean to do...." and in my case, i feel that way, but don't honestly, deep down forgive...and i feel like he didnt really forgive her. i asked and he said that he forgave her at the time he was writing it, but not now. maybe again later.
and i dont think he's using the term "elixir" as in "turns everything to gold"
i think he's using it as a term for an "all-healing" substance. saying, her touch can heal anything. make him happy, feel love, want to be alive, and he's going to suck that feeling from her fingertips till he no longer can take it in.
