Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a holiday
You can't find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I want to feel it too

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a golden sea
You don't need no memory
Just a place to call your own
As we drift into the zone

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
We'll never feel bad anymore

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
We'll never feel that anymore

Hip hip

We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
No no
No no

i'm going to go on a limb and say that i think this song could be a direct response to 'across the sea'.

ATS: "goddamn, this business is really lame I gotta live on an island to find the juice "

    hence IITS

in ATS, rivers is completely depressed by a girl that he cannot be with because of the distance and goes insane and dreams of a better time. in IITS, he happily responds "we'll run away together, we'll spend some time forever, we'll never feel bad anymore"

"When you're on a golden sea You don't need no memory" is probably another response to not looking back to the bleak past and enjoying the present time together.

could be a slight over-analyzation but rivers is way too much of a twisted genius to write songs so straight forward on green. in fact, i wouldn't rule out that every song on green could be responding to songs on 'pinkerton'...very possible.

    anyone else think of this?
