I'm not a hero, I'm not a Saint,
You think that I'm unbreakable, I've become invincible,
I know of heartache, I too feel pain,
I wear these scars just like you do, I still bleed like you,
No matter how far, how far that I may go, I still crash and burn, I wanted you to know,
This is who I am, I'm sentient like you,
I am only human too, (I am only human),
I'm not made of stone, I live and breathe like you,
I am only human, I am only human ( I am only human),
So here I am, I'm caving in,
All I want is just to find my sanity again,
Why all this war, Why all this hate,
Why do I feel alone around so many people,
No matter how far, how far that I may go, I still crash and burn, I wanted you to know,
That through it all, through thick and thin, I'm just the same as you, deep down within,
I'm sick of suffocating, keeping it built up inside,
I'm sick of suffocating, keeping it built up inside,
I'm sick of suffocating, keeping it built up inside,

    My Interpretation

This to me is about the fact that we're all only human, no matter what we may seem or look like like on the outside, we can all be quite the mess on the inside. Just living life is a war in and of itself for a lot of us everyday.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
