As per the bands lead vocalist Kobra Paige, "this song is the story of how it really feels to be misunderstood; I believe, if we’re really being honest with ourselves, everyone will find their story within the lyrics of this song". I'll add to that, that I agree with her fully & everyone indeed has felt some degree of exclusion for some reason or another & the sting of it can surely leave a nasty scar on ones psyche.
