it's no new revelation, i've been doing this too long
i've seen a million bands, heard a billion songs, and most of them just sound wrong
most musicians just don't have it, they'd sell their souls to buy a tune
they buy a nice guitar, get told they're better than they are, and their egos start to bloom
but your band really doesn't matter, it's only rock'n'roll
it won't pave your way to heaven, but hell it moves my soul
so keep it all in context, don't think that you're the next big thing
be grateful for every gig you have and for every song you sing

and don't take music too seriously, don't call yourself funky when you're white as can be
if you think you're too big to play a house party, then why don't you make any money
yeah that's why t.a.n.g. is my favorite band, they're the only ones that understand
that sometimes i just want to laugh the night away

the kid's microphone is a gas mask, the most creative thing i've seen
if every band had the guts that t.a.n.g. has, we might actually have a scene
they thrash the autumns and metallica with pure impunity
and i love it when they mutilate bohemian rhapsody

so don't take life too seriously, don't call yourself funky when you're white as can be
if you think you're too big to play a smaller show, then your heart's not in it just your fat ego
yeah that's why t.a.n.g. is my favorite band, when i see brad on bass he helps me understand
that sometimes we all take ourselves far too seriously
yeah that's why t.a.n.g. is my favorite band, they're the only ones that understand
if you think they suck then the joke's on you, loosen up and start to sing
cause sometimes we all take ourselves far too seriously

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
