Now it seems I'm fading
All my dreams are not worth saving
I've done my share of waiting
And I've still got nowhere left to go

So I wait for you to
Take me all the way

Seems you're wanting me to stay
But my dreams would surely waste away
I still have no where to go
So I wait

Push me under
Pull me further
Take me all the way
Take me all the way

Now it seems you're leaving
But we've only just begun
And you've still got nowhere left to go

So I wait for you to
Take me all the way

Push me under
Pull me further
Take me all the way
Take me all the way

And I've been waiting so long

So I wait for you to
Take me all the way

I think this song is about feeling useless and isolated. Having a low self-esteem maybe bieng very shy?

I think this part is about how the singer fells useless and how he just feels his "dreams are not worth saving" he's loosing his dreams, he doesnt feel like he can fulfill any of the roles in his life that he want to good enough. "I've done my share of waiting, and i still got nowhere else to go" says that he has been waiting for for things to change to the better, but they don' so he still has nothing to do. "so I wait for you to, take me all the way, take me all the way" I see this as he is realizing how he feel, and want to change it but he cant. so he waits for someone(you) to "take him all the way" to make him do the things he want to, to make him feels better about himself.

Push me under Pull me farther Take me all the way Take me all the way

Here i think hes telling the ones he know to help him, To "push him under" and "pull him further" and take him all the way" I know how it is feeling isolated and really shy and this describes it perfectly for me, you need to be pushed and pulled to do the things you always wanted to do but didn't do because you were afraid other people would laugh at you or something because you werent good enough at it.

And I’ve been waiting so long And I’ve been waiting so long And I’ve been waiting so long

this i think says that even though he knows he needs to be "pushed" to do the things he want to noones been there to "push" him.

So I wait for you to Take me all the way Take me all the way

and he is still waiting for someone to "push him", "take him all the way".

however this is just how i understand it and i have no idea if this was the meaning with the song, but it just seems to make alot of sence to me as i now how it is not to be able to do the things you want to because you're shy and you need to "pushed and pulled" into it and people have to "take you all te way" and show you that they think you can do it.

I think this song is about someone trying hard but never really being good enough and just thinking its time to give up

Now it seems I’m fading All my dreams are not worth saving I’ve done my share of waiting And I’ve still got nowhere else to go

    I love that part :)

Hmm, at first thought i thought it had to do with sex but after reading it through a few times i think it might have to do with suicide

Now it seems I’m fading All my dreams are not worth saving I’ve done my share of waiting And I’ve still got nowhere else to go So I wait for you to Take me all the way

They dont want to ACTUALLY do it themselves so they might just be waiting to die, maybe fighting an illness, like cancer, which my dad died from last year. A year and 2 months ago today actually. Or maybe theyre killing themsleves slowly and just waiting to actually stop breathing but its taking a while,

Seems you’re wanting me to stay But my dreams would surely waste away And I still have nowhere else to go So I wait for you to Take me all the way

Seems youre wanting me to stay. Porbably means theyve tried before and failed

Push me under Pull me farther Take me all the way Take me all the way

And I’ve been waiting so long

Push me under the surface of life, dropping in and out of consciousness, pull me further, pull me further then i went last time, take me all the way, finally kill me, Ive been waiting so long, Been thinking about it and tried it but this will finally work.

Thats only if anyone can be bothered to read all that

this song has a lot of importance to me because everytime i hear it i think of my best friend tyler, may he rest in peace... if you listen to the song you will understand that it is a person on their last breath, longing to die because they think that no one wants or cares for them anymore and no matter how much better it could be they have already given up.

I agree with Tiggerbrat 48... Whenever I listen to this song, I think of my best friend Jennifer...who commited suicide last year. " if you listen to the song you will understand that it is a person on their last breath, longing to die because they think that no one wants or cares for them anymore and no matter how much better it could be they have already given up. "

    All very true...

A kid at a town near mine commited suicude because he ran a car into a building. Great kid, great grades, good life, everything you'd want. He just killed himself, just because of one mistake.. This song reminds me of that.. how some people just have that in there minds. Aside from this song, I think Born like This to me is about how people are just born with that one sense of suicidal in them. My opinion.

I honestly hadn't thought of suicide when I first heard this song, infact I hadn't thought of it any of the times I've listened to this song - and that's alot. But it does make sense.

Personally, I find this song... very sexually. It's not really even the lyrics, it's just the song as a whole feels that way to me.

I've always seen it as relating to someone wanting to commit suicide. Their dreams are gone, and they feel like they have nothing to live for, so their just waiting for something to take them away from this life. That’s what I get from the lyrics and overall feel of the song.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
