Now here you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it
But listen carefully
To the sound of your loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost
And what you had
And what you lost

Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin'
Players only love you when they're playin'
Say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know

Now here I go again
I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams
And have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Dreams of loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost
And what you had
Ooh, what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's rainin'
Players only love you when they're playin'
Women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin'
Players only love you when they're playin'
Say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know
You will know
Oh, you'll know

You guys have it reversed. The women are playing him and she, Stevie Nicks is the real thing. She tells him that when the rains washes him clean, when all is said and done and he goes through hard times he'll know whose the one. And its her. So when he comes to this realization he is lonely and despondent. She wanted to wrap herself around his lonely dreams but he rejected her. I think this is between her and the drummer if I am correct, I can totally be wrong. I just read somewhere she always liked him but he didn't but when he wanted her it was too late. I don't think he was a player I think women preyed and played on him out of his loneliness, she saw it and wanted him but it was too late cause the damage had been done. I always thought when I heard this that I wished she would have forgiven him. Which is not an easy thing to do.
