"tribal lunar-speak" is the key to the lyrics of the song. The female singer is referring to the "tribe" women belong to. Women's "cycles" are entrained on a 28 day rhythm. During the month 400-600 million little critters may enter "paradise" or Hell (=Her) and that may happen several times during a typical cycle from several different donors. At the end of 28 days, the cycle begins again. Males have their "sunshine" stolen. Only males produce gametes owing to the Y having "hijacked" the sex determining chromosome 300 mya. Proof of that interpretation? Near the end of the video a pregnant woman is shown baring her belly. Biology is key to understanding relations between men and women as portrayed in music video but mythology is no less important. "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel is a good example where biology is important, however, the hammer is a mythological reference as is the symbol for Tao. The video opens to a bunch of sperm swimming next to and attempting to fertilize an egg. |

I always assume artists are as clever as I am. Thus, I don't see the first syllable of the title as Loco but Logo. The Bible and Greek texts on which it was based noted the logos was synonymous with The Word of God. For me as a biologist who spent 17 years studying biology in university (29 total), old Charlie doesn't cut it. I mean, sure we evolved from apes but to neglect Parmenides and the Pythagoreans and dispense with the Hermetic traditions of the Egyptians before them? Then there is Vitruvian Man that came down to us from daVinci which might tend to take people away from a religious interpretation, but watch some videos and look for signs the people who are in them are illuminated. Enlightenment is an ancient tradition. Jethro Tull have videos where they are dressed in garb suggesting they follow the trinity, which does make sense. There are 3X chromosomes to a single Y among mammals on the planet and 3 pyramids and a sphinx at Gaza as well as the myth of 3 crosses and a cave that had the Stone Rolled with no one there. Look for the occurrence of nobody and no one in song lyrics. Clearly undefined but check The Bible. Hundreds of occurrences of no one. Similarly, nothing which in Tennis is Love. I think R&R on the whole imparts a religious message but I defend your right to disagree with my interpretation. |
