ok im gonna be a nerd. in ancient greece (and later, roman) myths there was a god (apollo for roman, i think helios for greek) who drove a chariot across the sky and that's why the sun moves. that's the first thing i thought of when i heard this song, and reading the lyrics it makes even more sense, because it talks about "golden waves" which could only come from the sun |

i love this song it's awesome. along with believe this is my favorite song on the CD. it's about how he's still in love with his g/f but he leaves her because he knows it is better for her. i figured out how to play the violin part for this song i was so happy :-) i'm glad that yellowcard has a violin because it proves that not only guitars and drums are cool (although i do want to learn to play both of those) |

obviously is anit-bush. in the "representative from california" part they are being sarcastic. zeig heil means show salvation in german. so, sarcastically of course, they are saying "show salvation to our president gasbag, since you didn't we'll blow your country up, kill all the french that don't agree with USA's gvt, something else about killing, kill all the people who dont agree (calls them fags because of bush's negative attitude towards homosexuals) and then the rest is pretty self explanitory |
