not necessarily the term "guilty as charged" is said by the judge after the jury finds you guilty. so basically the charges were something like murder and the jury found him guilty so he is guilty as charged but it doesn't mean he did it like some wrongful convictions.

"But damn it, it ain't right" only makes sense if he is conceding he did it. I think.
