I saw a you tube video and Cat was introducing the song and he said this song I think is about me really. Not sure if he's referring to a relationship were he had to let someone go or if he's referring to himself going out into the world as a very young man to break into the music business and learning how wild the world can be. I think it's the latter but like all great songs it's open to the interpolation of the listener.
