Lyric discussion by austongold

I took the song at face value which was "the world was made up of this brotherhood of man" meaning to me the singer (a she). Was singing about the struggle to be seen as a stand alone individual. Ironically I grew up in a home where the battle over equal rights destroyed my childhood home and it never softened my heart to the plight of women. In being honest the passion of this artist did connect with me and I was pulling for her as a woman and maybe all women. I know Im not making much sense. I am just trying to say maybe there are more productive ways to reach others with our idiology concerns such as making incredible music like this gifted artist. Respectully Submitted....jay
