This song is sung like a sea shanty.

Its about a young man who spends his time like a drunken sailor.

A young man likes to party but sometimes he parties overboard.

Later as an older wiser man, he is haunted by memories of his past.

"Far below the shiniest stars, shiniest stars won’t shine for ever Take your soul and you can go far, If you don’t fall from grace of favor Golden weights are those who star You can take now and I’ll take never"

This verse is advice to a younger person, if you make different choices then you can go far. Now its your time to shine.

Soon he'll be a very old man who dreams of an easier life.

But what does a man have at the end of his time but his memories?
