With due respect to Writersbl0ck, I really don't understand the "ugly pilgrim thing" line. I know Liz is conflicted about her race/upbringing (see the song "White Babies"). And no one has mentioned the obvious "May flowers"/"Mayflower" pun.
Add to this the fact that Liz has publicly said that "Exile" is a valentine to Nash Kato... I need some help, guys.
