Lyric discussion by Avacyn

I think this is a really cute song, and I love love love Taylor, but does anyone else think there are red flags here? First of all, throwing something at somebody out of anger in a relationship is never okay. It's abuse.

Secondly, I don't think I'd want a guy who thinks it's funny when I'm mad. When I'm mad, it's because I've got something to say and he should be listening. (I'm not always right, but it's respectful to listen.)

Anyways, I bet she's exaggerating to show how sweet the guy is and how in love they are, which is why I love the song so much :)

"I threw my phone across the room at you" isn't necessarily literal.

More likely they've had an argument over the phone and she's got mad and then thrown her phone across the room. Not "at him" literally. But "at him" in the sense that it's in response to him. Or they may have had an argument texting.

Either way, I think this lyric is to be taken as her getting mad, mad, mad and throwing her phone across the room, but not physically at him.
