The album tells a story, and at this point Pink is trying to fill in the "empty space" left behind from his wife leaving him(note the phone call where his wife is with another man) This technique proves ineffective as shown in the next song "One of my turns"
well, before reading your comment i thought this song described the peak of pinks life. you know he is a rock star and everything having fun. but this makes total sense, specially considering that "young lust" is placed after "empty spaces" in the album. it's like the question in "empty spaces" (how shall we fill the empty spaces?) is answered in "young lust". However as it turns out in "one of my turns" the "dirty girls" were not much of an answer.
