Well, I think the song is basically him lusting after this woman he met.

"I left my girl back home I don't love her no more And she'll never f***ing know that"

He either broke up with his girlfriend because he fell out of love with her, or maybe he just felt this connection with this new girl and forgot about his actual girlfriend. This girl is probably some kind of golddigger, stripper or prostitute. But he's so into her that he doesn't really care. Just forging any kind of connection at all, even if it is fake, is enough for him. Lines like "Listen ma I'll give you all I got, get me off of this, I need confidence in myself" also give an indication of this. For some reason he thinks maybe this girl can help him feel better about himself. He's so desperate for this girl that he's willing to empty out all his cards and give all of his money just to be with her because I think he thinks that being with her would make him feel better about himself, even if only for a moment.

"Bring your love baby I could bring my shame Bring the drugs baby I could bring my pain"

I think The Weeknd has some kind of insecurity issue, which is why he often turns to drugs as you can tell by the references in his songs, this one included. When he first came out, he was very keen about not showing his face in photos. There isn't too much known about him even now and I think it's because he's insecure.

There's so much more I can say about him just because I feel like his music and lyrics say so much about him and the little there actually IS on him gives me a clear indication of the kind of person this guy actually is. But of course, this is all just my interpretation of this song and him as an artist. Beautiful song though. Can't get it out of my head.
