I think this song is about drugs and prostitution, because of certain phrases, and when she says 'well, you thought wrong you can't serve god and money, you serve one or the other'

'it's like being in love you rob your own mind, and defile your bed, you ignore the fate of the players who both end up dead' you love the drug, defile your bed, and let's not forget HIV.

'YOu pretend for us and you pretend for them, this fairytale will make them jealous of you' you pretend that you are fine to your loved one, and 'ya know, pretend for everyone else.

'But it's not the kind, the kind you talk about, and it's just the kind that that rips the clothing off you mind' obviously metaphoric. (the love no one needs to know about)

'She is feeding you and you lie with her, and for th first time your right arm becomes useful, as you sin with it, you want to cut it off, but it's then you thank god for all the wrong you do'. SHE is feeding you narcotics, so you lie with 'her' (could mean anything really), use you arm to do lots of things including using drugs, insert bible reference and cutting reference, you thank god for the bittersweet escape, (this person still worships god).

The bridge is kinda simple, you cut the cord and turn to god for help, which is exactly what Lacey Sturm did.

'I'm sorry father, I'm sorry sister, I'm sorry brother, I'm sorry EVERYBODY!' the lack thereof mention of a mother makes me think mommy introduced the person to the addiction and maybe prostitution as well.
