I truly wish people would realize that "christian" bands like Underoath do write about things other than religion. It's unfortunate enough that such a talented band would choose to label themselves so boring, tired, and ridiculous.

This song is obviously about some sort of personal struggle (something Underoath writes about a lot), and likely has nothing to do with religion. It sounds, to me, like this is about two people finding some sort of connection to each other through something they aren't proud of. The obvious cliche possibilities being a drug/alcohol addiction, or forbidden love, but the specifics aren't really important. Actually, let's say it's about a homosexual couple, just for irony. A Christian band writing about the struggles of a gay couple tickles me.
