The media makes girls think we have to trash it up, or be promiscuous to be loved. I see this song to be a guy who is in love with this girl, the real her, he's known her since childhood, she was a successful kid, bright and beautiful. sadly, she grew up to be devoured by the media and her opinion of beautiful got warped along the way. She no longer feels truly beautiful, just what we are now made to think is "sexy". She is under the impression that he likes her more for her body, and thinks that he'd like her more if she gave it all to him, she is sadly mistaken. in fact, the only part he doesn't like about her is her facade of being sex hungry, and being known around the town for being so. He knows that if she gave her self the chance to be more than this, then she could be the truly beautiful and successful person she used to be.

that's just how I see it, opinions? :)
