OK the reason I came here was to see if anyone had any thoughts on the only metaphorical-sounding part of the lyrics: "Remeber turning on the night // and moving through the morning light" - thoughts anyone?
At first I just thought it was a kind of catchy flip-round of the phrases 'turning on the light' and 'moving through the night' that didn't really have any concrete meaning but just sounded cool, well anyway that was on first hearing the song a while ago - HOWEVER, I kid you not; over the past two weeks I listened to this song pretty much every day before I went to bed - while I was incarcerated in a motherfucking psychiatric ward - and yeah now after that experience I sort of feel that there's a lot more to the song than just being "catchy" ;-)
Have you ever been back with a lover from your past? This sounds SOOO cheezy, but if you stay up with them all night and just spiritually or physically move through to the rising sun, its a very profound experience. To me this whole song can apply to the situation ive recently had. Very emotionally draining, but very *memorable
