I love this song for the subtle manipulation. He knows she is alone with her boyfriend out and her friends still partying. He plays on their history and her unease of how her current relationship will eventually play out. He appeals to vanity by talking about her even with all the other women around and saying that they are all the same (but she isn't). He says he needs her to cut through the fake while reminding her how rich and famous he is now.

You can bet that if any of her friends tell her "you can do better" she is going to remember this. Not to mention the drunkenness gives him an excuse not to remember and improves the likelihood that she believes he is telling her the truth. Even a no is laying groundwork for the future. Impressive.
