While this song obviously has deep spiritual contents and everyone seems to pick up on that, I'd just like to add that I'm almost 100% positive that this song is written about a Dimethytryptamine (DMT) trip. DMT is a hallucinogen that occurs in the human brain, as well as in the brain of many other organisms including some plants. The title "Parabola" refers to the very fast onset and consequent regression of the drug, and the lyrics "hold on", "stay inside", etc. refer to the spirit being launched out of the body during a DMT trip. DMT usually causes intense colors and euphoria, along with meeting with spiritual beings that guide you along your journey.
