I'd say this is the most vulnerable song on the album and perhaps the only one giving some sort of explanation as to the narrator's behaviour.
There's a shift from the "I got what you need" "I'll give you what I need" in the other songs to suddenly "I'll give you what I need", the line "I need confidence in myself" goes further along the same line and the whole "So tell me you love me, Even though you don't love me, Just tell me you love me" further adds to the point. I reckon this song suggests that his entire infidelity and sex seeking is mostly based around needing confidence and a need to feel loved.
