Lyric discussion by doomcat

Going out on a limb a bit here, I'd say that the song could be interpreted as a metaphor for substance abuse.

In the first first, she describes how rumors are spreading. People are starting to suspect that something is wrong with her. She's been trying to hide the changes it causes in her, but it's just an "obscene disguise" on the "new look" he (the substance) has given her. Finally, she reveals that she's going to stay at the hotel, and if you want to use with her, you know where to go. However, if you bring your bible, or rather your morals and strength of will, you'll be "secure"

In the second verse, she's talking about how remembering using gets her excited. She takes off her coat, gets comfortable, decides which substance to use, and gets ready to "make up for lost time".

Right before she uses, she prays to stop herself, and let her just get back to her life, as abnormal as it was.

She finally gives in and falls down to her knees. She's a stranger to even herself, and she feels trapped in the pain of it all. Finally, the high starts to wear off. The drugs are still next to her after it's all over, and she feels very alone. She knows now that she's never going to kick the addiction.

Another day, she's feeling down again and worse than before. She says, "Today's the last but not the right one" meaning that today is going to be her last day alive, but it's not the right day for her to die, implying that she's probably going to overdose. She's looking at a picture of herself and realizing who she used to be and what the drugs have caused her to become.

Anyway, I actually kind of doubt this is the intended interpretation of the lyrics, but I found that it does kind of fit in a strange way.
