I think "them" could be like a bully or someone who has put you down

"Pick yourself up, Stop loving, start living Don't get held back"

• get back on track from the abuse, don't get caught up in anything but living your life

"That's where they want you to be"

• the bully/abuser wants you to be held back from living

"Every time they pushed us aside"

• they being abuser, us meaning anyone who has been abused

"We got back up again, Yeah we made it through the rain, Just to live another day without them"

• you can get through this and move on.

I might not be right but yeah.
