This is definitely about Ryan. He was Brendon's best friend, so of course he loved him (not in a romantic way though), but just saying that he meant a lot to him and they both had to ruin their closeness, so now they are only 'friends'. It's pretty obvious. It's also about The Young Veins as well, what with "They will never be the same/They don't look like me/They don't sound like me".
This is an awesome song. Definietly one of my favourites off of Vices & Virtues, which is saying something, as overall it is a brilliant album!
