the suicide girls are punk-rock, tatooed pornographic models.

the feeling i get is that this guy lost his virginity to this girl, always thinking it to be special, only to see that several years later she is considering pornography: "But what I have loved and guarded close/ She’ll take and to the world expose". he's hoping she won't follow through, and deep down, he wants to get back together. until the end of course, "But let’s face the facts/ We ain’t going back/ When she takes off her clothes/ We’ll never be the same again", he realizes they could never actually be what they were.

it's the story of being broken up and always thinking that perhaps the relationship could happen again. eventually there's a moment where you know it won't... and feels like you're broken up with all over again.

this sort of thing comes up a lot in B&S songs. reminds me of judy and the dream of horses: "judy, i don't know you/ if you're gonna show me everything".
