If you read Lord Tennyson's poem "The Lady of Shalott" you will see that the song is about that. You see here holding the green book all through the video and it is even opened to "The Lady of Shalott" towards the end. It has nothing to do with suicide at all.

Green as the little the ring on my little cold finger. I never felt the love of a man. Means she never had a chance to love a man, she was locked away with a curse on her to never leave the tower. When she did leave the tower she died from the curse.

see i know your wrong about the love part. because the entire song is not purely off the poem as you seem to think it is if this girl never left the tower because there is a boy in this story. you see

sydhey, what they mean by "never felt the love of a man" is that she's never made love. yes, she had a boy in town who said he'd love her forever, but she had never given herself to anyone sexually. that's why she says she's as green as the ring on her finger, she's green means she's innocent, virginal. i'll be wearing white when i come into your kingdom, traditionally at marriage a woman wears white if she is pure, a virgin, so she's entering the Lord's kingdom as a virgin. and if you watch their official video at 3:43 you...
