I feel they are saying get it together now ,before The Lord returns. The verse (until the one who left us here returns for us at last)! This has to be Jesus. They mention about how we are just a vapor. Here for a little while and then vanish away. But not gone ,just back to God , who will judge us. Read James 4:14. James was Jesus half brother. How cool is that. Cooler than this song, but of all the 60's songs this one is the coolest. Later
