Here, Miley is doing what she does best, make cliched declarative-statement songs that have little depth or meaning. These sorts of songs appeal to equally shallow, ignorant people who make such declarative statements in their own lives. This is a self-centered song. I counted 73 instances within this song that she uses the word 'I' or a variant of it.

Everything within this song seems forced. For example, that line, "or tell you to go to Hell," was completely unnecessary. It adds nothing artistically and does not emphasize the point; it's just an avenue for her to "cuss" ("Hell" is a wimpy swear word, I think). She's trying way too hard. Look at the video. Goodness! It's not even art; it's disgusting propaganda for her disgusting face and her almost-decent body. She's trying so hard to "break away" from Disney. I'm going to pull a Miley here and make a cliche: "Living well is the best revenge."
