Actually, this song is more literal than you expect. Brian Aubert the lead singer of Silversun Pickups wrote some of the lyrics in regards to himself. He actually has/had a lazy eye. If you do a little research, you'll know what I'm talking about. Youtube, the "Kissing Families" video and you will notice that he has a black eye and a scar under his right eye where he most likely underwent surgery to fix Amblyopia (also known as lazy eye). This video was released in 2005. If you then look up "Panic Switch Live" video you'll notice in some of the camera angles that he actually still has the lazy eye. Now lastly, if you notice some videos between those two years you might notice that he doesn't seem to have the lazy eye. This leads me to believe that he had condition, underwent surgery to fix it, and then it came back a few years later. The song itself may have some other personal representation but I think the title "Lazy Eye" draws from his own condition. That's all.
