Lyric discussion by pneumemnekahn

I believe the use of the metaphor of fornication, specifically masturbation and co-dependency, are referring to the spiritual adultery that takes place when we replace the one true God for the idol of money. It is all using others for our own personal gain, and in the end, we are merely playing with ourselves in the the quest for material prosperity rather than seeking the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness. The lyrics assume an understanding of adultery and fornication as disgraceful and links them directly to the love of money.

Exactly.
