Lyric discussion by Kane92

I have to say, the only comment i agree with is the comment about the Shakespeare connections, as yes, alot of this song involves DIRECT quotes from Much Ado About Nothing, so i do not believe this is a song about religion in any way, more following the theme of the love between two people being discovered, which is how the quotes 'Serve god love me and mend' and 'Sigh no more, one foot in sea one on shore' were used in the play, all quotes from male characters ABOUT love. No religion in this song whatsoever, all romanticism and Shakespeare. But either way, it is a fantastic song, and one i will never tire of, and a band that i hope find the success they definitely deserve.

It does quote Shakespeare - but that doesn't mean it is doing so specifically to reinforce or reflect that intended meaning of those original characters.

While anyone can "take" whatever they want from the song, but like jafa said, it is a song about God's love to us through Jesus.

the majority of the album... quotes Shakespeare or makes reference to his works. Shakespeare mentions God a lot... but they've said a number of times, in interviews, that their references are literary, not religious. religious by proxy? take whatever you want from it, but i don't think the intent is there on the part of the artists.

Almost all their songs (Little Lion Man the exeption because of swearing) are about being christaim.Burgundy I completly agree.

Even if they arnt doing it intentionally I belive the holy spirt is working through them. Many times I've been encouriged about Jesus because of this band.
