Lyric discussion by idreamofdiamonds

I have two different comments I'd like to make about this song.

First off, I have to agree with mimsycby. From one perspective, I interpret this song as naughty, passionate, rough intimacy. It's all about letting loose and just giving into pure carnal instinct, a.k.a. biting, scratching, animalistic sex. This song is so deliciously sexy and naughty, and even borderline S&M when she says "I'm gonna love you with my hands tied". Definitely my second favorite from The Fame Monster (my first is Speechless).

Onto another completely different perspective. I'm quite surprised no one has mentioned this yet, because this is the first thing I thought of when I heard the song. In my personal opinion, I can totally envision the influence of vampires in this specific song. With vampires becoming so popular due to Twilight and other shows/books as of recently, just the reference of "teeth" alone gives me this sexy erotic image of vampires just going at it; biting at each other during sex & whatnot. The song itself has such a upbeat, jazzy, blue-sy, soulful vibe. Very reminiscent of music from Louisiana. In a way it reminds me of the vampires on the show True Blood. Just my opinion! If Lady GaGa ever made a music video to this song, I definitely think that she should take on a vampire theme and story line in it, because this song reeks of vampire references.

All in all, one of the best on The Fame Monster! I love this song! Very well done!

Wow i totally agree with the vampires comment and true blood this song would be an awesome theme song for true blood

Totally agree! I thought I was the only who thought of vamps with this songs =P And it would make an awesome theme song for true blood =)

In reference to some other comments, I'm aware of the true meaning of the lyrics as Lady Gaga's fear of the truth. I never said the song was ABOUT vampires at all. I'm saying the lyrics, in my opinion, give a visualization of vampires due to the reference of "teeth" and "fangs". There is a difference. Also, I attended the Monster Ball recently, and during her performance of Teeth, the staged evolved into a dark atmospheric scene, and she was portrayed as bleeding from the neck. Feel free to Youtube videos about it. Just thought I'd make sure my point...
