Ok so I used to think this song was about an unrequited love and it kinda is but after watching the video and reading the lyrics again here's what it is. This dude completely loves this girl and can't live without her and wants her to go on the road with him. She doesn't support him, she won't go and tells him that she's not going to be there when he comes back. He's saying she's all these things to him and can't find a way to leave her but won't give up his own dreams. He's just in complete shock that she claims to love him but is willing to throw it away.
