I think the song is a metaphor that likens sexual immorality to the love of money ("It's like being in love"). Both lead to death (“You ignore the fate of the players/ Who both end up dead”). The person falls victim to the love of money, becoming a slave to it, in the first half of the song. Then the person turns from it in the latter half and turns to God. “The Kind” refers to the kind of love.
