He rewinds to the end of me... which originally is the idea of him and his girl lasting forever, which is now just realised and concreted today, to be him by himself, either alone or not with his love... He wishes he'd never met the new idea of his future self that is without her today.
I thought it was a good thought - hurtful but good. I wish it were, but when I listen to it again, it defiantly says "may", not "me". Wishful thinking I guess.

Without the break up he really has nothing to say. Swim until you cant see land follows on exactly where floating in the forth leaves off. After floating down the river he is now in the sea and she is still trying to hurt him by "throwing stones at my back" in other words hurling insults. Thats really the best song on the album.
