i want to correct a line... im pretty sure its
"keep your feet on the ground when your heads in the clouds"
and i think this song is about realizing the reality of life and "dig a deep whole" may mean that the fairy tale she was living was a big part of her life and its going to take alot to let it go
I totally agree. I always thought it was about how if you built a world of magic and didn't believe in anything else then when Reality hit you you were going to fall....hard

I agree with this but I think it could be a bit broader than just living in a fairy tale.
Having just gotten out of a relationship which wasn't what I thought it was, i personally relate this to that, but I think it could go with any fantasy or desire or idea of perfection that anyone had really, that got proven wrong ?

I think that she said building your life of magic to compare it to building it with bricks, and the instability of a world built with magic.

The wolf, who come from the three little pigs, i think in this song also represents reality knocking this girl down and taking her house, therefore, leaving her exposed to the outside world.

I agree but i think that there saying how you go from the inocence of a child to relizing all the bad things in life "when the clock striked twelve" meaning she got older and she starts relizing it was all a trick "but it was a trick" and the real world is nothing like her imagination and the magic she knew of. there are some things in this song however i dont understand like "if its not real and you cant hold it in your hand..ect".
