i saw her on may 27 at the bloomsbury ballroom, and she said that this song was "about breaking up with somebody, and then getting so depressed that you're at the point of just not caring about it, and going out and getting really drunk, and then seeing them with somebody else so it's kind of a sad song but then it's kind of a happy song because you're like 'ok well it can't get worse than this let's just get drunk' so let's just get drunk" :)
