This song isn't about Rasputin I don't think... Brent Hinds said in an interview that only one song is about Rasputin and it is "the czar"... the interview is on youtube, its pretty easy to find. Maybe rasputin is mentioned in this to an extent, but from what Brent said it isn't about him... I have no idea what it is about then, this album is still a mystery to me.
I don't think Brent is the genius behind this work. Brann and Troy are the ones that truly know. Alot of it is simply undescribable. A mystery indeed, thought provoking like no other album in history.

In a lot of the songs I have seen the relevance of the Rasputin story as well as the story of Skye. But then that could just be due to the fact that Mastodon songs have so many potential interpretations.
