And Pixeleen, I don't think he's saying apologize even if you didn't do anything. It's saying that you should talk to her if she seems upset and find out what's wrong. You'll be more likely to fix things, and less likely to be viewed by her, as someone who doesn't care to know what's wrong.
You don't have to literally talk about everything. You just have to be willing to be open emotionally, which is something that I don't think some guys feel okay doing.
