I feel the same way.

Lullaby song from the perspective of a single mother, or a child born into a difficult situation. "Pardon, shadow, hold on tight to your darkened key" to me means that she is telling this child to use these hardships for his/her advantage. key being a tool that opens doors, and darkened meaning born of hardship. and the usage of the words "little shadows" means to me that the child is a small reflection of her. "Closer, shadow, volume strikes Still we're caught between all this sorrow, little shadow To the night, will you follow me?" It sounds like she is the child's protection "follow me" because ill keep you safe maybe.

Anyways its a beautiful song and it reminds me of my mother. It also makes me think about my son, so i guess it did its job

agreed indeed
