Lyric discussion by dexatrosin

according to the dvd, the album tells the story of a boy in modern times who astral projects and ends up getting lost. over the course of the album, the boy's spirit is sucked through a wormhole and ends up being used by a Czarist Russian cult in divination rituals. Rasputin is a member and agrees to take the boy's spirit back to his body. "The Last Baron" seems to be telling the tale of Rasputin and the boy's journey across time and space back to the boy's body. Happening alongside the boy's story, another story unfolds. the boy's family finds his lifeless body and assume he's dead. the album also appears to follow the emotions the family going through the 7 stages of grief (the album contains 7 tracks. This story is most likely inspired by the tragic death of a band member's sibling at a young age. In my opinion, the two storylines come together in "The Last Baron". Rasputin manages to rescue the boy, but as the boy's soul returns to his body he realizes he cannot see the world, "i was staring at the world, and i can't see it" are the final lyrics. my conclusion is that the boy's parents having accepted their son's death (acceptance being the 7th and final stage of grief) have buried his body before his soul could return leaving him unable to "see the world". just an idea.

I like your theory on him being buried when his soul gets put back into his body.

"Hold my head on stable ground Watch as the Earth falls all around"

I interpret that as laying his body in a casket and putting him in the ground, then burying him.
