This is the song that made me realize I was only getting one side of the story about Israel and Palestine. It's Outlandish's take on a poem by a Palestinian girl named Gihad Ali, with very few changes except to add in a chorus and a few extra years to the tally. It tells the story straight to us Americans in music because the television networks and newspapers here would never let you know what's really happening.

It's really painful to listen to. As a human being I can't help but feel the anguish of the narrator of the poem. As a Christian I am outraged that the church in America typically does nothing but cheer on the Israeli military. Once I remember going into Sunday worship at my old church and seeing an Israeli flag in the sanctuary next to the American flag. I remember how angry I felt. America is my country and I only want the AMERICAN flag in my church.

I can't tell if you're being racist or not.
