A great song. Only song I've personally heard where zombies get a chorus. I love the last bit, with the boy speaking out to the people from the ledge, though the bit with the bells and such at the very end makes me think they fail shortly after, like each chime is the death of some of the remaining citizens...
First of all, listen to "Re: Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton. The whole song is sung by zombies.

At any rate, as for the ending of the song, listen to the entirety of the Broken Bride album. Humanity is facing an apocalypse, and then King Simius dies, but instead of this helping things, it just makes it worse. He raises The Dragon as he dies, who almost destroys the whole world. But then the Traveler comes back in his time machine, and traps The Dragon in the machine (thus destroying it, and losing his chance to get back and save his wife) and saves the world.
